Anonymous asked: After seeing that puck gif I just have to ask... I know that Glee began making homosexuality more open to the media, but I feel like now the fans just want everyone to be in a couple. I thought the Rachel and Quinn thing was funny and cute, but after seeing that it just seems like they ship any gay combination and that's not what the show was about I just don't get it.
Uhhhh hmmm, I’m trying to think of what to say and how to say it, but here’s my attempt:
The Glee fandom is a crazy one and some people are serious about ships (which is totally a-okay) and some people just joke around because they think they’re, as you said, “Funny and cute.”
The way I see it though, it’s not about being a gay combination. It’s just about being a combination. I love the Glee fandom because we really don’t see gender.. well at least, speaking for myself and my friends in the fandom. So I really don’t see a problem with shipping Faberry, or Smytheman or whatever. Even if characters “are straight” or whatever. EVERYONE LOVES EACH OTHER IN GLEE, haha. And the glee cast… they like to ship themselves with everyone, not even lying.
I personally don’t ship all of them (I don’t ship Faberry, romantic Furt, Kurtofsky, Pezberry) but I ship Hevans/Kum, Bike Chanderson, BLAM, and the “canon” ships - Klaine (HAHA as if it wasn’t obvious) and Brittana.
The show’s about acceptance and self-love and believing in yourself and your dreams and yaaah :D
LOVE FOR EVERYONE! SHIP ALL THE SHIPS!
